This video lesson shows how to create Excel 2013 formulas that use the FIND and LEN functions to search for and extract specific values from within a cell. In this lesson's example, FIND and LEN are used to find and extract numbers from a phone number that are in brackets. As well as FIND and LEN, this lesson also uses the LEFT and MID functions to extract values from the phone number and explains how to use the TRIM function to remove trailing spaces from the results of your formulas.
